Description

VDB 14 and 15 are reflection nebula in the constellation Camelopardis. Their distance is about 2600LJ, their dimension about 100 LJ. Two blue giant stars illuminate the dust clouds in the region, HD21291 and HD21389. The region is also an area of intense Ha emission plus quite a lot of near-IR radiation. The dust itself is starting much closer from us, just a few hundred LJ away but stretches to the stars and beyond.
To emphazise the IR, I added quite a lot of frames taken with an IRBP 642-850 filter which adds significantly to the Ha emissions but adds also visibly to many other areas, resulting in a variety of colors when added to the LRGB base image. The stars were taken solely from the LRGB stacking to get more or less realistic star colors.
